Rodney Smith, M.D.

After receiving his Bachelors degree from Brigham Young University, Rodney Smith, M.D. attended the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Upon graduating in 2013, Dr. Smith completed a residency in anesthesiology in Temple, TX, before completing a fellowship in pain medicine at the University of Utah in 2018. Dr. Smith is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, and board eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology – Pain Medicine.

Dr. Smith believes that being a physician is more than an occupation - it is a calling. He feels there are few things more fulfilling than helping someone that has been limited in life by pain become functional and able to enjoy living again.

Throughout medical training, Dr. Smith participated in Remote Area Medical, a non-profit organization that provides free healthcare for uninsured individuals, and hopes to continue to take part in similar volunteer opportunities in the near future.

After having had the opportunity to live all over the country, Dr. Smith is excited to finally settle down with his wife and four children. On his new home in northern Utah, Dr. Smith says, “I don’t believe there is anywhere better than Logan, Utah to raise a family, and I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to call Cache Valley home.”
