Dr. Tyson Winder graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Utah with a significant part of his clinical education focused on treatment for musculoskeletal conditions. Prior to his graduate work, he attended Dixie State University and received an integrated studies bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Sociology. This has provided him with a unique perspective to help better serve his patients. He was raised in Hurricane, Utah, and loved being able to stay close to home while pursuing his education.

Following his graduate program, Dr. Winder elected to complete an orthopedic residency in Murray, Utah (one of only two accredited programs in the State) and is actively pursuing a board specialty in orthopedics. Through his residency, he received training in spinal manipulation therapy, Graston Technique IASTM, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), trigger point dry needling, and his personal favorite, blood flow restriction training. He has a special interest in personalizing care for individual patients through exercise, activity modification, and manual therapy techniques to facilitate a return to function. He is passionate about helping people who want to move better and stay active or return to activity again. He works closely with each patient to develop an individualized treatment program based on their specific limitations and goals.

Dr. Winder is excited to return to the St. George area to provide top-notch care for the community he calls home. He is married to his wonderful wife Shayli, and together they have a young daughter, Amelia. He enjoys running, playing soccer, and basketball, he is a hobbyist woodworker, avid smoker (of meats), and enjoys being outdoors as often as time permits. He feels immense gratitude for the opportunity to use his knowledge and skillset to help others recover from injury and return to the activities they love.
