Dr. Eric Freeman is a pain management physician at Southwest Spine & Pain Center’s Vineyard clinic. He developed a passion for medicine after a family friend, who was also a physician, helped care for a wound he sustained at age six.

After that incident, Dr. Freeman decided to help people by pursuing a career in medicine. He graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University before receiving his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Shortly after medical school, Dr. Freeman completed his residency in anesthesiology and fellowship in pain management at Mayo Clinic – Rochester. He is certified by The American Board of Anesthesiology and The American Board of Pain Medicine.

Dr. Freeman enjoys treating patients and seeing a significant improvement in their quality of life and functioning. He believes the key to success is to work with talented, honest, caring, and hardworking people. To Dr. Freeman, these qualities are immediately apparent in the providers and staff at Southwest Spine & Pain Center, which is why he enjoys working at the practice.

Dr. Freeman utilizes a number of minimally invasive techniques to achieve improvement in a patient’s condition. When he’s not working, Dr. Freeman likes to spend his time with his wife and children. He loves sports, traveling, watching movies, and science fiction.
