Matthew Harvey, AGNP-C, is a nurse practitioner who joins the Logan clinic of Southwest Spine and Pain Center as of July 25th. Matthew enjoys being a nurse practitioner because he likes making a positive impact in a patient's life. He believes that, as a nurse, he has a special privilege to be entrusted with the most intimate details of a person's life. Moreover, he enjoys being equipped with the education, knowledge, and ability to help improve a patient's circumstances. He studied at North Idaho College and Boise State University, receiving his associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees in nursing.

Matthew's decision to become a nurse practitioner came from his desire to increase his knowledge and provide more advanced care for the patients he serves. His clinical rotations provided him with a range of exposure in different clinical settings, but his pain management rotation really opened his eyes to the skills, knowledge, compassion, and teamwork needed to address the complexity of the pain experience; both physically and psychologically.

Matthew is an avid outdoor enthusiast with interests in snowboarding, running, mountain biking, hunting, and fishing.
