Dr. Sabin has had an interest in pain medicine since early in his academic career. As he saw family members suffering from chronic pain and the impact this had on their lives he wanted to be able to help ease that suffering. Dr. Sabin completed his anesthesia residency in San Antonio, and then continued his training in pain medicine at the prestigious Mayo Clinic’s Arizona campus. Upon completion of his fellowship he joined Southwest Spine and Pain Center and is excited to continue in his passion for treating pain. Dr. Sabin’s training has put him at the forefront of spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, as well as other minimally invasive pain treatment procedures.

Dr. Sabin is married to his wife, Ariel. They have three children who keep them busy. They enjoy spending time together watching movies, playing board games, and being outside hiking, snowboarding, riding bikes, and exploring.
